  • Patong Carnival (Phuket Carnival)
Starts on November 01st through the 03rd Patong Beach. Loud and colourful. Lots of visual entertainment and fun for visitors. Each year is slightly different, but the festival includes a parade, shows and concerts. Bangla Rd is lit up and turned into a walking street with food stalls, stage shows and other entertainment. Marks the start of the official high season in Phuket.

  • Chalong Bay Fishing Tournament.
November 15th through 17th at the pier at Chalong. Best time to see something is to wait for the return of the boats at 5:30pm on the 15th & 16th and at 4:30pm on the 17th. Most of the anglers do "catch & release" but big catches will be kept.

  • Loy Kratong Loy Krathong or Full Moon Day.
November 22nd through 24th, anywhere with water.
One of the most beautiful festivals in Thailand. Small floats made from banana trees with flowers, candles and incense are launched into the water at night to take away bad luck. Events held at all of Phuket's major beaches and in Phuket Town at Sapan Hin. A truly stunning event.
